An energetic mix of industries

Agriculture is big business in Burke County.  Commercial farm operations cover nearly half the county – the second largest in Georgia by land area. Farmers harvest more than 60,000 acres of crops every year, ranging from cotton and corn to soybeans and peanuts, blueberries and strawberries. Classic farm values like hard work still influence our economy, but we’re much more than farms.

Burke County is home to what will be the highest output nuclear facility in the US.  There’s a mini-energy cluster of companies here including manufacturers of advanced electrical grid solutions; industrial and solar nickel batteries; magnet wire products like winding and stator coils and solar and windmill generators; carbon honeycombs used in air purification – even draperies and high end cookware for chefs. No matter what your company produces, our development team can energize your relocation or expansion project.
