Generating quality education

EducationBurke County is one of the most well-funded school districts in Georgia. Thanks to a solid future tax base supported largely by the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, the county is able to invest millions of dollars in education. For higher education, we’re surrounded by small and large colleges ranging from Georgia Southern University one-hour south to the world-class University of Georgia to our north.

In fact, the state of Georgia has one of the largest university systems in the US. Each year, over 60,000 graduates emerge from our colleges and universities hungry for skilled jobs and professions. For your business, that means you can choose from a deep pool of smart, skilled candidates to help your company expand and grow.
